The 10th regular meeting of the 131st Council of the Town of Carleton Place was called to order by Mayor Black at 7:00 p.m.

    THAT the 2020 Operating Budget for the Carleton Place Business Improvement Area (BIA) be approved;
    THAT the levy portion of the Operating Budget for the Carleton Place Business Improvement Area in the amount of $166,403 be approved;
    THAT the Treasurer be authorized and directed to prepare the requisite By-law pursuant to Section 208 of the Municipal Act, 2001, to invoice on the tax bills the levy portion of the BIA Operating Budget;
    THAT the following schedule of payments for 2020 be approved:
    April $83,433
    June $83,400

The Mayor announced that the Town's boat launch on Lake Avenue West will be opened on Friday, May 15th for day passes only for Carleton Place residents consistent with physical distancing.  The Town's trails are open for walking.  However at this time, play structures, benches, pump track and dog parks remain closed.  The open air burn ban has been lifted within the Town of Carleton Place.
