Mayor Black called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

    THAT Council receive the Consent Report dated May 31, 2022:

    Corporate Services

    Financial Report to March 31, 2022 (Communication 133048) 

    THAT Council receives the Financial Report from the Treasurer to March 31, 2022 as information. 

     

    2022 Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB) Budget (Communication 133049)  

    THAT Council approves the 2022 Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB) Budget prepared by the Treasurer as required by the Municipal Act, 2001 O. Reg. 284/09. 

     

    Disconnecting From Work Policy (Communication 133052) 

    THAT the Disconnecting from Work Policy prepared in accordance with Bill 27, Working for Workers Act 2021, be approved. 

     

    Appointment of BIA Member 

    THAT Kaitey Cosgrove be appointed to the Downtown Carleton Place BIA Board of Directors. 

    Planning and Protection

    Coleman Central Subdivision Extension Request (Communication 133050) 

    THAT Council supports a three (3) year extension of the Draft Approval for the Coleman Central Subdivision; and 

    THAT Staff be instructed to inform the County of Lanark.

The Mayor declared the following proclamations:

  • National AccessAbility Awareness Week May 29 - June 5, 2022
  • Shriners International 150th anniversary Day June 6, 2022
  • PRIDE Month - June

The Mayor congratulated the students and staff at St. Gregory's Catholic School for their participation in Jump Rope for Heart.  They were the top fundraiser in Canada for this event.

The Mayor also thanked all who assisted in the recent multi-day power outage in Carleton Place, including Hydro One, the OPP, Council, and various Town departments and staff.
